New York Fashion Week, an exhilarating semi-annual series of events when international fashion designers showcase their new sartorial designs to the media and general public. Amongst 7 days of glitz and glamour-filled runway walks and designer fitting, my friend Nancy and I had the privilege to attend glossy editorial shows this year hosted by Philipp Plein, Milly, and Leanne Marshall. Constantly on the go, in between schedules replete with Uber rides, street side gyros, ongoing caffeine intake, and a few occasional snaps of Madison Square Garden and SOHO, we were finally able to get some quality shut eye on our last night thanks to Conrad New York.
A luxurious hotel in lower Manhattan featuring modern suites, a state of the art atrium lobby, and a seasonal rooftop lounge with a spectacular view of the Hudson River, Conrad New York is the ideal place to unwind after a hectic yet exhilarating day of fashion shows (or for travelers gleefully crossing out the Big Apple from their bucket list, a fun-filled day of exploring the bustling city)!
Delighting ourselves in fine New American culinary creations at ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant, we wrapped up our last evening in New York with delicious steamed pei mussels, chitarra alla pomodoro, and roasted scallops, all of which are the delectable underpinnings of seasonally inspired, locally-sourced modern cuisine at the helm of Executive Chef Gerron Douglas.
Thanks to Conrad New York, our last evening was equally relaxing and invigorating. Having situated ourselves at the Loopy Doopy Rooftop Bar with champagne and light bites, we toasted to a weekend well spent in New York while relishing the impressive views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor.
Thus the motto holds true — Never just stay, stay inspired!
